9th December , On 8th and 9th December 2021, The British College held their annual ‘TBC Job Fair’, at the College campus in Thapathali.
The objective of the event was to connect students, graduates, and alumni to the current job market, by introducing them to a wide range of diverse businesses, such as Unilever, MAW Enterprise, and Toyota (Voith).
Final year students from the BBA, BSc (Hons) Computing, BHM, and ACCA were invited, along with postgraduate students from MSc. IT, MBA, MIBM, and members of TBC Alumni. Throughout the day, each company interviewed the students and alumni for a total of 400 different jobs.
Amardeep Mandal, Head of Marketing at The British College, said of the event, “Our job is to help find employment for all interested students at TBC and so with this Job Fair, we are giving our students every opportunity possible to find the right job or internship for them”.
In total 41 companies took part in this exciting event, including Laxmi Group(Hyundai), Ghorahi Cement, Samrat Cement, CG Holdings, Classic Tech, Dishhome Pvt. Ltd, SMTECH Technology, Safeway Technology, Cloud Factory, Genese Solutions, BeyondID, LeapFrog Technology Inc, Pepsi (Varun Beverage), Samsung India, Vishal Group(UDN), Dakshya Nepal, IDP, IME Group (Midas), Daraz, Sastodeal, Act 360, F1 Soft/E-sewa, UNDP, VSO International,
Teach for Nepal, Ambe Steels, Shanker Group (Jagdamba Steels), CG Foods, Sujal Foods, Siddi Laxmi Steels, Jwalakhel, Group of Company, Fluer Himalayan Ltd, Upaya City cargo, Kiran Shoes, Golyan Group, CE Construction, Nepal Life Insurance, and Worldlink Pvt. Ltd.
Sunil Shrestha, Head of Students Services and Internships at the College, thanked all of the companies, along with Froxjob who worked with TBC to organise the event. He said, “We have partnered with Froxjob in order to make sure that our students have the opportunity to go straight into work after they graduate, and improve their employability skills. We would like to thank them and all participating companies for working with us on this successful project. This is the second job fair we have held and we look forward to many more to come”.
